NTPC Renewable Energy Limited (NTPC REL) has issued a solar module supply tender for a 400 MW solar project in Chitrakoot, Uttar Pradesh. It has sought bids for this project until February 15, 2026.
The tender offers TOPCon, glass-to-glass, bifacial 580 MWp DC capacity PV modules for the Chitrakoot-2 solar project.
The scope of work under the subject package, inter alia, includes the manufacturing, supply, packing and forwarding, and transportation of crystalline solar PV bifacial modules (minimum 570 Wp nominal rating) under the Open category, and included in ALMM List-I (for solar PV modules) and ALMM List-II (for solar cells).
Qualifying Requirements for Bidders
The bidder should have manufactured and supplied solar photovoltaic (SPV) modules or solar photovoltaic (SPV) cells of 200 MWp or above within a period of any consecutive 12 months in the last five years before the date of techno-commercial bid opening, out of which at least one such supply order should be of 50 MWp or above capacity.
The bidder must have a minimum annual solar photovoltaic (SPV) module manufacturing capacity, calculated as total quoted capacity in MWp multiplied by 1.67.
Previous Solar Module Order
Previously, companies such as Grew Solar have secured solar module supply contracts from NTPC Renewable Energy Limited (NTPC REL) to provide approximately 1,464.5 MW of solar modules across multiple locations in Uttar Pradesh. The contracts are valued at around ₹2,028.33 crore, marking one of the largest module supply partnerships under NTPC REL’s current renewable energy programme.
