THDC Issues Tender for Land Acquisition to Develop 2 GW Solar Park

THDC India Limited, a power sector public sector enterprise under the ownership of National Thermal Power Corporation (NTPC), Ministry of Power, has issued a tender inviting bids for the appointment of a consultant. The tender seeks bids for consultation on the acquisition of land for the development of 2 GW Ultra Mega Renewable Energy Power Parks (UMREPPs). This park is located at Village Bodana, Tehsil-Nachana-I, District Jaisalmer, Rajasthan Under MNRE’s Solar Park Scheme.

TREDCO Rajasthan Ltd. a joint venture JVC of THDC India Limited, a Mini Ratna and a CPSU under the Ministry of Power, released a document inviting a request for proposal (RFP) through the e-tendering mode from the impaneled firms, for engagement of consultant for the acquisition of land for development of 2000 MW Ultra Mega Renewable Energy Power Parks (UMREPPs). The project is located in the district of Jaisalmer, Rajasthan Under MNRE’s solar park scheme.

The tender mentioned that the documents are available for download from 16:00 Hrs. on 22 June 2024 to 16:00 Hrs. on 6th July 2024. Whereas, the last date of receipt of queries and bid documents from prospective bidders is up to 17:00 Hrs. (IST) on 27.06.2024. The bids can be submitted up to 18:00 Hrs. by 6th July 2024. The document mentioned that the bid validity is 120 days. The document mentioned that the Earnest Money Deposit (EMD) is Rs. 59,000/- (Rupees Fifty Nine thousand only). 

The tender follows an increasingly strong focus of the Hydro focused PSUs on other renewable energy options, notably solar and wind.
