Tender Issued for Installation and Commissioning Package for Solapur Solar Project

NTPC has issued a tender for the installation and commissioning package for the Solapur Solar Project in Maharashtra.

NTPC Ltd has issued a tender, inviting bids from eligible bidders for the installation and commissioning package for the Solapur Solar Project in Solapur, Maharashtra.

The scope of work for the selected bidders will include the installation and commissioning of the solar plant with major items supplied by NTPC. Items e.g. module, inverter, structure, power cable, HT breaker, transformer, energy meters shall be free issue item by NTPC to the I&C Contractor.

The scope of the work is divided into two categories which are the Civil Work and Electrical Section.

The civil work will include the installation of a fixed-tilt Module Mounting Structure with a foundation suitable for a 2×15 module, the installation of the support structure for String Combiner Box (including Foundation), the construction of Inverter room/ HT Breaker Room as per specification, etc.

The work in the electrical section will include the supply and stringing of Solar DC cable of size 6 sq. mm, the supply and installation of UPS and Battery Chargers with battery, and the installation, commissioning and testing of NTPC item e.g. Solar PV Modules, HT Breaker, solar-Inverter, inverter transformer, etc.

The last date for bid submission is June 3, 2020, and the techno-commercial bids will be opened on June 4, 2020. The date and time of opening of the financial bids will be decided after the evaluation of the technical bids. A pre-bid meeting has been scheduled for May 20, 2020, to address the concerns raised by the prospective bidders.

All bidders are also required to submit a bid security amount of Rs 20 lakh along with their bids.

To be eligible, the Bidder should have erected/ supervised the erection and commissioned/ supervised commissioning of solar grid-connected power plant(s) of cumulative installed capacity of 18 MW or above, out of which at least one plant should have been of 5 MW capacity or above. And, the reference plant of 5 MW or above capacity must have been in successful operation for at least six months prior to the date of the techno-commercial bid opening.

Financially, the bidder must have an average annual turnover not less than Rs 11 crore in the last three completed financial years as on date of techno-commercial bid opening. And, the Net Worth of the Bidder as on the last day of the preceding financial year should not be less than 100 percent of bidder’s paid-up share capital.

Recently, NTPC had issued a tender seeking a SCADA and Weather Monitoring System (WMS) package for the Solapur Solar PV Project in Maharashtra. The last date for bid submission is May 28, 2020, and the techno-commercial bids will be opened on the same date.
