Tender Issued for 535 kWp Solar System at NIBSM Campus in Raipur

CEL has issued a tender for the installation of an on-grid solar PV power system of 535 kWp capacity at the NIBSM campus in Raipur, Chhattisgarh.

Central Electronics Limited (CEL) has issued a tender for the installation of an on-grid solar PV power system of 535 kWp capacity at the National Institute of Biotic Stress Management (NIBSM) campus in Raipur, Chhattisgarh.

The scope of work for the selected bidders will include the design, engineering, supply of Balance of System, installation (erection), testing, and commissioning of the solar PV power plant at the campus.

In addition to supply, installation, testing, and commissioning of the complete installation, the following works shall be deemed to be included within the scope of work to be executed by the tenderer as this is a turnkey job:

a) Obtaining No Objective Certificate (NOC) from Distribution Company (Discoms) for grid connectivity 

b) Minor building works necessary for installation of equipment, foundation, making of opening in walls or in floors and restoring them to their original condition/finish and necessary grouting, etc as required.

c) All supports for cables and MS channels for the erection of panels etc as are necessary. 

d) getting local body inspection done and obtaining approval for energising the installation if required. However, necessary fees for inspection shall be borne by the department.

The last date for submission of bids is December 1, 2020, and the techno-commercial bids will be opened on the same date.

To be eligible for participating in the bidding process, the bidders must have designed, supplied, tested, installed, and commissioned a cumulative minimum of 200 kWp of solar power plants which includes a minimum of one power plant of 50 kWp or higher capacity installed in the last 3 financial years. 

Financially, the bidders must have an average annual financial turnover of Rs 50 lakhs during the last three financial years (FY 16-17, FY 17-18 & FY 18-19).

As per the tender, CEL will supply minimum of 330 Wp PV modules for the project. In October, we had reported that CEL had issued a tender for the supply of 15 lakh multi-crystalline solar cells of an efficiency greater than 19.6 percent.
