Tender Issued for 185 kW Rooftop Solar Plants in Lumding Division of Railways

Lumding Division of the Indian Railways has issued a tender, for setting up of rooftop solar projects worth a combined 185 kW capacity at six locations

Lumding Division – Electrical which is a part of the Northeast Frontier Railways of the Indian Railways has issued a tender, seeking bids from eligible firms from the setting up of grid-connected rooftop solar power projects worth a combined 185 kW on six different locations of the Lumding Division.

The scope of work for the selected bidders will include the supply, fitting, fixing, installation, testing and commissioning of the rooftop solar (on-grid) power plant. The developers will also be required to execute all the civil works for the installation of Module mounting structure including sand, gravels, cement, etc and electrical works for the distribution of loads from PCU 7-transportation up to the destination. The selected developers will have a period of 120 days to complete the work on the project.

The projects will be developed at six pre-selected locations with project capacities ranging from 60 kW to 10 kW. The estimated cost of the tender is Rs 2.09 crore, and all bidders must submit an Earnest Money Deposit of Rs 2.54 lakh along with their bids. The last date for bid submission is March 2, 2019.

To be eligible for participating in the bidding process, the bidders must have successfully completed any of the following during the last seven years:

  • Three similar works costing not less than the amount equal to 30 percent of advertised value of the tender,
  • or Two similar works costing not less than the amount equal to 40 percent of advertised value of the tender,
  • or One similar work costing not less than the amount equal to 60 percent of the advertised value of the tender.

Financially, the tenderer must have received contractual payments in the previous three financial years and the current financial year up to the date of opening of tender, at least 150 percent of the advertised value of the tender.
