TANGEDCO Tenders for Solar Plus Battery Storage System in Tamil Nadu

TANGEDCO has issued a tender for the commissioning of a 1 MW solar plant with an associated 1 MW/3.0 MWh Battery Storage in Tamil Nadu.

The Tamil Nadu Generation and Distribution Corporation Ltd (TANGEDCO) has issued a tender, inviting bids from eligible bidders for the commissioning of a 1 MW (AC) solar PV power plant with an associated 1 MW/3.0 MWh Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) in the state of Tamil Nadu.

The scope of work for the selected bidder will include the design, engineering, supply, construction, erection, testing and commissioning of 1 MW (AC) solar PV power plant and the 1 MW/3.0 MWh BESS. The developer will also be required to provide comprehensive operation and maintenance (O&M) services for the plant for a period of 10 years from the date of commissioning.

The last date for bid submission is April 21, 2021, and the techno-commercial bids will be opened on April 22, 2021. All bidders are required to submit an Earnest Money Deposit of Rs 1 lakh along with their bids.

To be eligible for participating in the bidding process, the bidders should have experience in EPC execution of ground-mounted solar projects on a turnkey basis including design, supply (supply of modules & inverters can be inclusive or exclusive in the bidder’s scope in the past experience), installation and commissioning of cumulative capacity not less than 1 MW in last seven financial years as on the last date of bid submission. However, such capacity must have been in satisfactory operation for at least six months prior to the last date of bid submission.

AND

Out of the above, the bidder should have experience in EPC execution of ground-mounted solar projects on a turnkey basis of at least 2 solar projects having an individual capacity of 200 kW or above in the last seven financial years last date of bid submission. However, such capacity must have been in satisfactory operation for at least six months prior to the last date of bid submission.

Financially, the bidders must have a Minimum Average Annual Turnover (MAAT) in the last three fiscals of Rs 7.5 crore. And, the bidder should have a minimum working capital of Rs 5 crore as per the last audited financial statement. However, if the bidder’s working capital is inadequate, the bidder should supplement this with a letter from the bidder’s bank, having a net worth not less than Rs 500 Crore, confirming availability of the line of credit for more than or equal Rs 5 crore to meet the working capital requirement of this particular project.
