  • Goldi Sun saw a change in its capacity from 7,263 MW in August to 4,522 MW in the revised list.

  • Emmvee raised its capacity to 3,276 MW from 2,229 MW in September 2025.

  • Gautam Solar made a major jump to 3,224 MW from 852 MW in May 2025.

  • Insolation Green Energy revised its capacity slightly to 637 MW from 617 MW in March 2025.

  • Jakson Engineers increased its capacity to 1,209 MW from 1,124 MW in June 2025.

  • Axitec Energy India reported a revised capacity of 150 MW, co-branded with Knack Energy and Rayzon Solar Limited, a change from 18 MW reported in the March ALMM list.

The frequent updates reflect MNRE’s push to expand domestic manufacturing capacity and diversify India’s solar supply base under the ALMM framework.

On the latest announcement, Gautam Solar said that with this recognition, Gautam Solar becomes one of the few companies in India to achieve these approvals for the 640 Wp R-Series modules. It explained that the 640 Wp R-Series modules are designed to deliver high-efficiency performance, enabling greater energy yield within the same land area, making them ideal for EPCs and developers looking to maximize returns.

Key Features of Gautam Solar’s 640 Wp TOPCon Modules:

  • Highest peak power & module efficiency: The R-Series module attains best-in-class peak output of 640 Wp and boasts a module-level efficiency of up to 23.69% positioning it ahead of most competing modules in its category.

  • Superior power density & area yield: Because of its high wattage and efficiency, the 640 Wp module can generate more energy per square meter compared to lower-wattage modules — enabling better area utilization and higher output from the same footprint.

  • Reduced LCOE and optimized BOS: The high-power, high-efficiency design leads to lower Balance-of-System (BOS) cost per watt and contributes to a reduction in Levelized Cost of Energy (LCOE).

  • Ideal for utility / large-scale projects: The panel is engineered to be especially suitable for ground-mounted and utility-scale solar farms, where land availability, yield per area, and cost competitiveness matter most.

  • Bankable long-term reliability: The module retains the advantages of N-type TOPCon technology — minimal LID/LeTID, lower degradation rates, bifacial gain potential (up to ~30%), and superior performance under elevated temperature conditions.

Speaking on the development, Gautam Mohanka, Director of Gautam Solar, stated: "Achieving ALMM and BIS approvals for our 640 Wp R-Series modules is a major validation of our engineering, quality, and manufacturing excellence. We are committed to not only adhering to the highest quality and compliance standards set by the Government of India but also going beyond them in our offerings to ensure maximum customer satisfaction and advance India's goal of becoming a world leader in solar power production.
