Sunkind to Set Up 4 GW Solar Module Facilities in India By Junaid Shah/ Updated On Thu, Jun 26th, 2025 Highlights : Sunkind plans to execute project in phases over the next two years, with manufacturing facilities set up across multiple regions in India Sunkind Energy entered into an agreement with ConfirmWare PV Manufacturing Solutions to establish a 4 GW solar module manufacturing capacity in India. Under this partnership, Sunkind will leverage the collaboration to bring ConfirmWare’s advanced stringer and automation technology to set up technologically advanced production lines. The TOPCon module based on M10 cells will be the first product under this collaboration, which is a 610 Wp high-efficiency solar module based on M10 cells. It is expected to serve industrial and utility-scale solar needs. Hanish Gupta, founder and managing director of Sunkind India, said, “At Sunkind Energy, we believe manufacturing must be driven by technology, not just capacity. With this collaboration, we are aiming to bring the right processes, latest machines, and brightest minds together to build solar modules that can power India’s industrial growth for the long haul. With ConfirmWare, we are adding not just scale, but precision and adoption to our journey.” Virpal Yadav, Director & COO of Sunkind Energy, said, “We are building our manufacturing backbone with a clear focus on long-term performance and reliability. This collaboration ensures that the systems and processes we put in place today will remain relevant and resilient for the next phase of solar growth in India. Our upcoming manufacturing capabilities are designed to meet PV module demand through a powerful blend of Artificial Intelligence and Human Intelligence—ensuring precision, innovation, and reliability in every module we produce.” The project will be executed in phases over the next two years, with manufacturing facilities set up across multiple regions in India. This decentralised approach aims to support localised production, enable quicker market response, and streamline logistics. Each site will be strategically designed for supply chain efficiency and future scalability.
