The project is known for the country’s first utility-scale PV plant which is equipped with smart monitoring system and set to address issues of energy shortage, efficiency and sustainability of Malaysia.

Further, the PV plant, which is located in Northern Malaysia, is endowed with an exceptional amount of sunshine throughout the year. While the climatic conditions like high temperature and humidity pose special challenges to solar products. But the company’s turnkey solution features easy integration with its central inverter, PPC and SCADA system, making it ideal for this plant.

Ideal for large-scale ground-mounted solar plant, the company’s 2.5 MW inverter installed on-site characterizes a 10-foot design.

A result of a 3-level topology and smart cooling design, it reaches a peak efficiency of 99 percent and can perform without derating at 50 degrees Celsius, the company said in a statement.

Moreover, the PPC enables active and reactive power control, which contributes to the stability of public utility grids and guarantees PV system operators’ maximum yield.

The company is also responsible for the project’s SCADA system for monitoring and remote data collection.

Additionally, the cloud-based platform provided by the company allows to get real-time data of the PV system devices and environment conditions, which helps locate and eliminate issues both online and offline.

So, owners will be able to utilize power generation data to assist optimize the ROI goals of the power plant.

Commenting on the development, Sungrow PV & Energy Storage Division, President, Jack Gu said, “We’re excited to be a part of this 35 MW project, a landmark installation which presents our central inverter solution as well as smart monitoring system in Malaysia.”
