Statiq Collaborates with HPCL to Add 200+ EV Chargers in UP-Bihar-Uttarakhand

Electric vehicle (EV) charging network Statiq has collaborated with state-owned refining and marketing company Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Ltd (HPCL) to increase the number of Statiq chargers open to the public to more than 200 in the states of Uttar Pradesh, Bihar and Uttarakhand. Statiq says that 10,000 such chargers will be established by the end of the year.

Statiq says that all these units will be of varying combinations of 3.3 or 7.7 kW Statiq chargers. They will be compatible across all EV makes and ensure complete charging is possible in 2-3 hours for four-wheeled electric vehicles.

Akshit Bansal, Co-Founder of Statiq, says, “At Statiq, we are thrilled at having recently won a much-awaited HPCL tender to install our EV chargers across several of their sites across India, with a heavy concentration in Uttar Pradesh, Bihar and Uttarakhand. What this means for our EV users is that they can soon expect a more extended network of Statiq chargers in these three states by 200+ charges, across all highways and busy roads that have an HPCL presence.”

Bansal adds, “By associating with the unimpeachable status that HPCL carries in the consumers’ minds, we hope to further the reliability of our own brand and network. In India, there is an ongoing EV revolution that has thankfully received the constant support of our PM and the cabinet, most recently through their budget announcements. It is by way of their continual efforts that as an industry, we can work towards consolidating a safe and sustainable environment for our future generations.”

Static says that HPCL has multiple petrol pumps in Uttarakhand, Bihar and Uttar Pradesh respectively and by leveraging this established network, Statiq will be bolstering its reach in corners that will really appreciate their network’s presence.

The official statement says that over the last year, Statiq has launched numerous charging stations to reinforce their already considerable network. Each location is handpicked for one singular reason, which is they are located on busy routes and have extremely extensive footfalls.
