Solis Ranks No.1 in India's Rooftop Solar Inverter Market: CRISIL–Bridge to India

The leading rank comes at a time when India's rooftop sector saw its strongest year in 2025, and thanks to higher allocations, is set to repeat the performance in 2026 as well

Global inverter major Solis ranks as the No.1 inverter supplier by market share in India's rooftop solar segment, according to the CRISIL–Bridge to India Rooftop Map (June 2025), accounting for 25% of total deployments. In a press release the Ningbo-China headquartered Solis stated that the recognition underscores Solis' presence across India's rapidly expanding rooftop market.

The report shows that India added 7,117 MW of rooftop solar capacity in the year ending June 2025, with continued growth across residential, commercial, and industrial applications. As rooftop installations scale nationwide, inverter reliability, service capability, and long-term performance have become increasingly critical selection criteria. All of these at a price that offers value is something Solis has offered smartly for some time in India now.

Solis Secures Largest Share Of Rooftop Deployments 

Within the fragmented inverter supplier landscape, Solis has secured the largest share of rooftop deployments across diverse project types and regions. Its broad product portfolio, combined with established after-sales support networks and close collaboration with installers and EPC partners, has supported consistent deployment at scale.

India's rooftop solar expansion has been further driven by declining equipment costs, improved access to financing, and policy initiatives such as the PM Surya Ghar scheme, which has accelerated residential rooftop adoption across multiple states.

For Solis, an eartly mover into the Indian market that celebrated it has been a steady growth from hitting the 1 GW milestone in India back in 2021, and possibly heading for the 10 GW mark this year. It crossed the 6 GW number in 2024. The firm has stood out in the local market with a stable management team, strong marketing and technology led customer service interventions that have worked for both partners and customers. It also crossed the 100 GW mark in global shipments in 2024, counting  Europe and India among key global markets.
