China based solar company SolarSpace which is a solar cell and module manufacturer, concentrating on solar-technology production of solar cells and solar modules recently announced its collaboration agreement with India’s largest state-owned power company NTPC.

SolarSpace recently announced on social media its collaboration, under which it would provide dual-glass modules for the 375 MW project located in Bhuj-Gujarat, India. The company stated, “The completion of this project signifies the successful collaboration among NTPC, Zetwerk, and SolarSpace. It represents not just the accomplishment of a joint project but also underscores the trust and support that Zetwerk and NTPC have extended towards SolarSpace. This trust and support are built on a foundation of long-term collaboration and shared goals, laying a solid groundwork for future cooperation.”

Earlier this year, Union Minister for Power and New and Renewable Energy R. K. Singh and Union Minister for Social Justice and Empowerment, Virendra Kumar together laid the foundation stone for Barethi Solar Power Project of NTPC REL in Madhya Pradesh recently. This solar power plant is said to light up 3 lakh households, the government claimed. The Minister spoke of the need to keep adding further power capacity in line with the growing power demand. “Ours is the fastest growing large economy in the world and our power demand too is growing fast. We need to add more power capacity to meet the growing demand. The Barethi solar power project is very important since it is 630 MW and further it is clean energy. NTPC is among the world’s biggest power companies. Now, NTPC is setting up renewable energy plants too, from only thermal plants earlier.”
