SJVN Green Issues 500 MW Solar EPC Tender in Rajasthan
SJVN Green Energy Limited (SGEL), a renewable energy arm of SJVN, has issued a 500 MW EPC tender with a land package to develop solar projects in Rajasthan. The project will be located near the 220 kV Bikaner-IV substation at Ambaran. SJVN Green has sought bids to develop this project by September 12, 2025.
The tender includes a transmission line and three years of operations and maintenance (O&M). The power generated will be supplied to Punjab State Power Corporation Limited (PSPCL) under an existing Power Purchase Agreement (PPA).
Of this capacity, SJVN Green is inviting bids for an EPC package with land for the development of up to 500 MW of grid-connected solar PV projects in Rajasthan. The package includes transmission line works and comprehensive O&M for three years (under PSPCL ET-3). The minimum capacity allocation to a bidder under this tender will be 250 MW (or in multiples of 250 MW), while the maximum allocation to a single bidder will be 500 MW.
Scope of Work
SGEL tender explained that this project is part of the entered into Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) entered into by SGEL with PSPCL on August 14, 2023, in response to the tender issued on April 19, 2022, along with its amendments. Under the scope of this tender, the selected bidder will be required to undertake three years of operations and maintenance (O&M), including the power evacuation system up to the Bikaner-IV substation.
The scope of the SGEL tender covers all equipment, materials, and services that, though not specifically mentioned in the bid documents or the contractor’s proposal, are necessary for the satisfactory operation of the solar PV system and its integration with the evacuation system provided by the CTU.
