Shakti Pumps Wins First Solar Pump Order from KREDL Worth Rs. 654 Crore

Shakti Pump secured the order for a total amount of the   Letter of   Award (LoA) is Rs. 600.58 Crores, and Rs. 654.03 Crores with GST.

Shakti Pumps Get Off-Grid Solar Pump Orders From MP, Haryana

Shakti Pump has recently secured its first solar pump order from Karnataka Renewable    Energy    Development    Limited for setting up    1,6780    Stand‐alone    Off‐Grid    DC    Solar    Photovoltaic    Water    Pumping    Systems    (SPWPS)    pumps project.

The company mentioned in a regulatory filing about securing the order for the entire state of  Karnataka, Renewable Energy Development Limited, for around Rs. 654.03 Crores    (inclusive of GST) for the 16,780  pumps. under the PM‐KUSUM scheme Component‐B. The firm adds that the award follows a series of other award wins, taking the total awarded amount to over Rs 1900 crores in the past quarter.

Solar Pump said the order is for the Design, Manufacture, Supply, Transport, Installation, Testing, and Commissioning of Stand-alone Off-Grid DC Solar Photovoltaic Water Pumping Systems. It's expected to deliver the project before March 31, 2026. For Shakti Pumps, the award is a vindication of its status as the premier solar pump player in the sector, coming at a time when the listed pump's stock price itself is under the pump due to apprehensions over delays in government payments.

Previous Solar Pump Projects in Karnataka

Last year, in 2025, Gujarat-based Advait Energy Transitions secured an off-grid solar order from Karnataka Renewable Energy Development Limited (KREDL) for 40,000 off-grid or stand-alone solar pumps under the PM-KUSUM Component 'B' scheme in Karnataka.

Advait Energy secured the order to design, develop, deploy, and maintain a web-based online portal and mobile application.  The company was tasked to develop cloud services, integrate payment and SMS gateways, configure RMS devices, integrate with the SEDM portal, and manage operations and maintenance for five years. The integration of off-grid or stand-alone solar pumps with SCADA software under PM-KUSUM Component 'B' will include five years of O&M for the SCADA platform.
