SECI to Conduct Stakeholder Meeting for 50 MW Solar Tender in Tamil Nadu

SECI to Conduct Stakeholder Meeting for 50 MW Solar Tender in Tamil Nadu

SECI will be conducting a Stakeholder Consultation Meeting regarding its upcoming project of 50 MW solar PV project with land in Tamil Nadu

The Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI) has notified that it will be conducting a Stakeholder Consultation Meeting regarding its upcoming project for the design, engineering, supply, construction, erection, testing and commissioning of a combined 50 MW (AC) solar PV project with land in Tamil Nadu, India.

Due to the current pandemic situation on account of COVID-19, the meeting shall be conducted online on January 22, 2021.

The discussion aims to brief the various stakeholders about the Agro PV project along with the widespread outreach of the project.

The tender was issued in the first week of January for the implementation of the ground-based solar plant of 40 MW capacity with the additional 10 Agro PV system in the southern state.

As per the tender documents, the eligibility conditions for the tender are as per the total 50 MWac capacity which includes the 40 MW ground-mounted solar plant and the 10 MW agro PV set up. Bidders have therefore been advised to quote for the complete capacity of the tender, and the total capacity will be awarded to the lowest bidder.

However, if the overall project cost for the 50 MW capacity is not found feasible by SECI, then it may reduce/withdraw the agro PV site capacity and its price from the overall project capacity and the price. Accordingly, only the 40 MW ground-based solar project will be awarded to the successful bidder.

The full scope of work for the selected bidders will include the design, engineering, supply, construction, erection, testing and commissioning of the full 50 MW (AC) solar project with the land. The developers will also be required to provide comprehensive operation and maintenance services for the projects for a period of 10 years from the date of successful commissioning.

The last date for bid submission is March 1, 2021, and the technical bids will be opened on the same date. For more information click here.
