SECI Seeks Solar Developers For Solarising Four Campus Projects SECI

The Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI) recently released a tender to select solar project developers for setting up 2,112 kW grid-rooftop solar projects under RESCO mode. These projects are located across university campuses in Delhi, Tirupati, Kerala, and Chhattisgarh. The last date for bid submission is 2nd January 2025.

The bidders will be expected to develop solar projects across these four campuses. It included the development of a 335 kW project at the International Centre for Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology (ICGEB), New Delhi. The other two projects include the development of a 177 kW project at the National Sanskrit University, Tirupati, and 1200 kW project at the National Institute of Technology, Calicut, Kerala, and 400 kW at the National Institute of Technology, Raipur, Chhattisgarh.

The tender doesn’t provide any separate Central Financial Assistance (CFA) to the selected bidder to implement the project. The bidder will be responsible for obtaining net metering and grid connectivity for the project in their respective area. The tender also places the maximum tariff applicable on the tentative project capacities. These tariffs are mentioned below.

Criteria For Energy Supply

SECI declared an annual CUF to be no less than 15% for the projects. The project is scheduled to be commissioned (SCD) 9 months from the Effective Date of the PPA. Under the project, the solar inverter/PCU units are expected to have 10-year warranty and an extendable warranty of up to 25 years by the manufacturer. The developer would also have a 5-year free AMC after the warranty period, which should be provided by the supplier for the complete system and components, which shall be extendable beyond 5 years.
