In line with the Central Government’s directive to follow social distancing norms amid Covid-19 crisis, state-owned Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI) on Friday intimated that it has rescheduled the pre-bid meeting for 2 GW wind projects tender to April 30, 2020, from the earlier scheduled date of April 08, 2020.

The nodal agency had earlier issued a request for selection (RFS) for wind power developers to set up 2,000 MW (or 2 GW) inter-state transmission system (ISTS)-connected wind power projects in India under tariff-based competitive bidding (Tranche-IX).

Now, the meeting will be conducted via video-conferencing, which was earlier scheduled in SECI office, and invitations to the meeting will be sent on April 29, 2020.

Thus, all the prospective bidders interested to participate in the pre-bid may intimate the names and email ids of respective participants, by mailing, to [email protected] and [email protected], latest by April 28, 2020.

However, those who have already emailed regarding participation in the meeting need not email again.

SECI had issued the tender on March 20, 2020, and the last date for submitting bids is May 06, 2020.

The wind projects are required to be designed for inter-connection with the ISTS network at a voltage level of 220 kV or above. The minimum cumulative project capacity awarded will be 50 MW and the maximum cumulative project capacity awarded will be 2000 MW.

To be eligible for participating in the bidding process, the net worth of the bidder should be equal to or greater than Rs 1.20 crore per MW of the quoted capacity, as on the last date of previous FY 2018- 19, or as on the date at least 7 days prior to the due date of bid submission, and will also have a minimum annual turnover of Rs 57 lakhs/MW of the quoted capacity during the same period.
