The Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI) has issued a tender for a 700 MW (AC) ground-mounted solar project in Gujarat. The tender is for the balance of system scope of the project. The project is located at Radha Nesda in Banaskantha district of the state.

SECI To Supply Modules 

SECI stated that it will supply the solar modules and transformers for the project. The contractor, however, will be responsible for receiving, handling, and ensuring secure storage of these items at the project site. The scope also includes all associated civil works, installation services, and obtaining mandatory permits and licences.

SECI said the project will be executed on a turnkey basis, with a defined completion schedule of 19 months. The contractor will also be required to conduct performance demonstration tests to ensure the plant meets the functional guarantees before it is officially accepted by the owner.

The tender also mandates a five-year Operations and Maintenance period. This includes regular preventive maintenance such as module cleaning and electrical health checks, as well as corrective maintenance to ensure maximum plant uptime.

Compliance To Safety Codes 

SECI further stated that all works must comply with stringent site regulations and safety codes, including the provision of necessary personal protective equipment. The contractor is also required to maintain a vegetarian-only site until the O&M phase begins. Additionally, quality assurance is mandatory, and bidders must ensure that major equipment has valid test certificates from NABL-accredited, government-approved testing centres.
