SECI Invites Bids for Aggregating 3.37 GW Solar Power Projects across India

The Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI) has invited proposals for selection of solar power developers for the installation of aggregating 3.375 GW solar PV projects on pan India basis.

The bunch of projects includes setting up of 2,000 MW (250 MW x 8) ISTS-connected solar power projects in India on build own operate basis.

Another project for which SECI has invited bids is to set up a 750 MW grid-connected solar PV projects in Kadapa Solar Park, Andhra Pradesh under NSM phase-II, batch-IV on build own operate basis.

Moreover, MNRE-backed SECI has invited proposals for another project in Karnataka for setting up of 200 MW solar PV projects in Pavagada Solar Park under NSM phase-II, batch-IV on build own operate basis.

For the above projects, the maximum tariff payable to the project developer is fixed at Rs 2.93/ kWh.

Besides, state-owned SECI has invited two separate bids for solar projects in the state of UP, including setting up of 275 MW solar PV projects in Uttar Pradesh Solar Park under NSM phase-II, batch-IV, tranche-XIII on build own operate basis. For this project, the maximum tariff payable to the project developer is fixed at Rs 3.43/ kWh.

Further, another grid-connected floating solar power project will be installed at Rihand Dam (also known as Govind Ballabh Pant Sagar Reservoir), Sonbhadra District, UP, having capacity of 150 MW (50 MW x 3) on BOOT (Build Own Operate Transfer) basis. For this project, the maximum tariff payable to the project developer is fixed at Rs 3.5/ kWh.

Meanwhile, the government shall enter into the Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with the successful bidders of all these projects for the purchase of solar power for 25 years.
