One of the largest conglomerate in Vietnam, Sao Mai Group has signed an agreement with HD bank for the development of 210 MW capacity power plant in An Hao commune, Tri Ton district, An province Giang.

Sao Mai Solar PV1 is one of the largest scale projects in Southeast Asia built on an area of 275 hectares, with a total generating capacity of up to 210 MW, investment capital of VND 5,600 billion is divided into four periods from now to 2020, the expected electricity production is over 302 million KWh/year.

After completing the items, in the next 10 years, Sao Mai solar power plant will have a total generating capacity estimated at 2.5 billion KWh/year, ensuring adequate supply of production and daily-life electricity for residential communities along the two Vietnam-Cambodia borders.

Sao Mai Solar PV1 will be combined with cultivation and cultivation of high-tech agricultural products for export. This project will also be developed into a tourist attraction model, creating jobs for many local workers.

In phase I, HD Bank will accompany Sao Mai Group to complete the solar energy project with a capacity of 104 MW to keep up electricity before June 30, 2019. Sao Mai Group has signed a Power Purchase Agreement with Vietnam Electricity Group, the National Electricity Regulatory Center, Electricity Trading Company and Southern Power Corporation at a price of 9.35 cents/kwh.
