Sangam Enters EPC Contract With ib Vogt for 27 MW Rajasthan Solar Project

Germany-based utility-scale renewable energy development platform ib vogt has previously collaborated with Ingka Investments, the investment arm of the Ingka Group, to acquire a 210 MWp ready-to-build solar project in Rajasthan, India.

Rajasthan-based Sangam India has entered into an EPC contract with ib Vogt Solar India Private Limited. While sharing these details in a regulatory filing, Sangam India explained its goal of setting up a 27.00 MWp (variation ±5%) solar power plant through this contract at a village in Sangarh, Tehsil Fatehgarh, District Jaisalmer, Rajasthan. Additionally, the project will support the company’s goal of increasing renewable energy usage and reducing energy costs by setting up a solar power plant.

ib Vogt’s Previous Solar Projects in India

Germany-based renewable developer ib Vogt, a utility-scale renewable energy development platform, has earlier collaborated with Ingka Investments, the investment arm of the Ingka Group that owns retail giant IKEA, to purchase a 210 MWp ready-to-build solar project in Rajasthan, India. The project was Ingka Investments’ first utility-scale renewable energy investment in India. ib Vogt managed all aspects of securing land, feasibility analysis, and completing regulatory formalities for the Rajasthan solar plant. The company will handle both construction and the first three years of operational management.

Once operational, the installation is projected to deliver about 380 GWh of clean electricity annually. As per the official statement, this will surpass the energy requirements of Ingka Group’s retail, shopping centre, and distribution facilities across India.

ib Vogt operates across 32 countries and maintains a global development pipeline of more than 37.5 GWp of solar projects and over 9.4 GWp of battery energy storage system (BESS) projects. The company has successfully monetised more than 1 GWp of fully developed projects to leading Indian independent power producers.
