RUMSL Tenders for DPR of 950 MW Solar & 600 MW Floating Solar Project in Madhya Pradesh

Rewa Ultra Mega Solar Limited (RUMSL) has released the RfP for the Preparation of DPR for the development of identified Solar Parks in Madhya Pradesh

RUMSL, a Joint Venture formed between Solar Energy Corporation of India Ltd (SECI) and Madhya Pradesh Urja Vikas Nigam Limited (MPUVNL), has issued a tender to select firms to prepare a Detailed Project Report (DPR) for the development of a 950 MW solar park in Chattarpur and a 600 MW floating solar park in Omkareshwar in the state of Madhya Pradesh. 

Interested bidders can submit their bids by February 10, 2021. Bidders have to pay a tender fee of Rs 10,000 and are expected to submit an earnest money deposit of Rs 5 lakh along with their bids.

Bidders are required to submit a Proposal consisting of two parts; Technical Proposal as per formats mentioned in RFP. Based on the Technical proposal and shortlisting criteria as per the RfP, only selected bidders whose bids are complete in all aspects will be considered for the opening of the financial proposal.  

The successful bidder must submit Performance Security with the acceptance of a work order valid for one year (12 months) which shall be modified as per requirement. The Performance Security shall be of Rs 10 lakh to the “Chief Finance Officer, RUMSL”, payable at Bhopal, which will be returned within 90 days. 

Biding firms must have an average turnover from Consultancy Services of not less than Rs. 5 Crores per annum in three preceding financial years. Also, it should have experience of more than five years in the Development of Renewable Energy Park/Project at least 100 MW capacity at a single park. 

Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE) has approved the development of 1500 MW Chattarpur Solar Park out of which 950 MW will be developed by RUMSL and 600 MW Omkareshwar floating solar park in the state of Madhya Pradesh. The above Solar Parks are to be developed by RUMSL the designated solar park implementation agency (“the Implementation Agency”) in the state under the Scheme for Development of Solar Parks and Ultra Mega Solar-Power Projects. 

Solar parks will be developed in the collaboration with the state government and its agencies. The state is having a vast potential for renewable energy in grid-connected renewable energy technologies – solar, wind, biomass, hybrid, floating, and small hydro. Consequently, the state is taking all necessary steps to explore renewable energy resources for the maximum benefit and support GoI in reaching a target of 175 GW by 2022
