In a press release, the company said that it continues to make progress on the development of its 1 GW Solar Module Manufacturing Plant in Jaipur. This initiative involves an ₹100 crore investment to enable the company to expand its renewable energy presence.

While the company initially targeted operationalizing the project in October 2025, unavoidable delays necessitated a revised schedule. The timeline is now set for Q4 of the current financial year. Despite these challenges, RMC said it proactively secured the required funding for the project through a combination of internal accruals and debt from SIDBI, enabling the company to commence the early stages of project execution.

Effect Of the RIPS 2024 Scheme

RMC’s latest facility is expected to provide strong backward integration for its growing EPC business. Once operational, the project will help reduce procurement risks and enhance pricing competitiveness in government tenders and private sector opportunities. Moreover, with the support of benefits under the Rajasthan Investment Promotion Scheme (RIPS) 2024, RMC expects the plant to be fully operational by FY26.

In a pursuit to expand its renewable energy capacity, the Rajasthan government RIPS intends to bring renewable energy integration with storage projects. Under the policy, 5% of RE capacity will be eligible for a 75% exemption on transmission and wheeling charges for a period of 7 years.

RMC Secures ₹59.12 Crore RDSS Order from Jaipur Discom

In parallel, RMC Switchgears received a Letter of Intent (LoI) for a ₹59.12 crore contract from Jaipur Vidyut Vitran Nigam Ltd. (JVVNL) under the Revamped Distribution Sector Scheme (RDSS). RMC would be responsible for developing the distribution infrastructure for segregation of 11 KV mixed feeders at Tonk Circle in Rajasthan, on a turnkey basis. Together, these initiatives highlight the company’s dual focus on building integrated capabilities in solar manufacturing and executing forward-looking power distribution projects across India.

On this announcement, Agrawal said, This contract for feeder segregation in Tonk Circle reflects our execution strength in distribution infrastructure and complements our presence in the renewable EPC domain.”

Advancing towards this goal, RMC also confirmed that its application for migration to the BSE Main Board is fully prepared and it’s currently awaiting final confirmation from BSE. The migration can help to enhance the company’s market visibility, improve liquidity, and widen access to a larger pool of institutional investors.

Commenting on this development, Agrawal stated, “While we await final confirmation from the exchange on revised eligibility norms, our application is fully ready, and we view this as a strategic step towards enhanced transparency, stronger governance, and deeper engagement with investors.”
