REIL Floats 30 MW Rooftop Solar EPC Tender in Rajasthan

Rajasthan Electronics & Instruments Limited (REIL) has issued a 30 MW EPC tender for grid-connected rooftop solar photovoltaic projects across Rajasthan. The tender includes 25 MW of rooftop solar systems on state government and public sector undertaking buildings in the Jodhpur district and a further 5 MW on similar buildings in the Pali district. Bids are invited until June 17, 2025.

The REIL tender laid down certain technical criteria, which required the bidder to have prior experience in designing and supplying solar modules or inverters—either inclusive or exclusive in previous project scopes. Applicants should have commissioned at least one grid-connected solar power plant with a minimum capacity of 5 kWp, and another with at least 10% of the quoted capacity, within the last seven years before the bid submission deadline.

REIL tender in its scope of work said, “The bidders are required to provide all tools, equipment, components, and manpower at their own expense. They must also ensure the cleaning of panels at least 16 times a year, excluding the June to September period, to maintain performance levels.”

Payment Terms

• 10% of the order value will be paid upon the successful supply of solar PV modules and inverters, along with the beneficiary payment receipt and REIL’s approval.

• 20% will be paid on the supply, installation, and commissioning of the full system—solar modules, structure, foundation, inverter, and cabling—after document submission and confirmation from REIL.

• 2.5% of the order value will be released every three months after commissioning for a period of seven years, subject to successful operation and REIL’s confirmation.
