Redington Ltd, a technology solutions provider, has partnered with Eastman Auto & Power Ltd. (EAPL) to distribute Made-in-India solar products nationwide.
Under the partnership, Redington will facilitate the distribution of Eastman’s solar inverters, lithium batteries, energy storage systems (ESS), and solar panels across the country. The collaboration aims to strengthen local solar supply chains and support India’s clean energy transition and boost the growth of rooftop solar under POM Surya Ghar.
“Redington has been actively supporting solar adoption in India for nearly a decade, enabling over 3 GW of rooftop and ground-mounted installations,” said Pradeep Srikanthan, Business Head, Redington Solar. “By bringing Eastman onboard—a trusted indigenous manufacturer—we are enhancing our ability to offer subsidy-eligible, Made-in-India products to more than 5,000 solar system integrators across the country.”
The partnership is seen as a strategic response to India’s growing demand for domestically produced solar components, especially in light of increasing policy emphasis on local content requirements for government-backed subsidies.
Shekhar Singal, Managing Director of Eastman Auto & Power Ltd., called the partnership a significant step toward making solar energy more accessible and future-ready. “Eastman brings to the table a robust manufacturing ecosystem, an extensive service network, and deep industry partnerships,” he said. “Together with Redington, we are committed to empowering Indian consumers with reliable and sustainable energy solutions.”
Eastman Auto & Power Ltd. is a key player in the energy transition space, offering products across three verticals: last-mile e-mobility, solar power, and backup energy systems. With its strong manufacturing capabilities and expanding global footprint, the company has positioned itself as a leader in clean energy innovation.
By combining Redington’s nationwide distribution network and solar expertise with Eastman’s localized product offerings, the alliance is expected to accelerate the adoption of rooftop and ground-mounted solar solutions—particularly among residential and small commercial users.
