About The Tender
This new BESS project comes with Rs 9 lakh/MWh less VGF support (Rs 18 lakh/MWh), with land under the developer’s scope, connected to 220 kV, in an environment where BESS costs have remained stable over the past few months despite fears of rising costs.
A total of approximately 33 players now have standalone BESS projects in their portfolio. All eyes should now be on the implementation of these projects. It is time to see how quickly this portfolio of 48 GWh of standalone BESS projects comes to life on the ground.
Previously, the lowest BESS project was awarded at Rs 2.16 lakh/MW/month by NVVN to Solar19 Cleantech Ltd for a 50 MW project. Other winning bidders included Rays Power Experts, which secured a 50 MW project at Rs 2.187 lakh/MW/month, and Stockwell Solar Services, which won the largest share of 225 MW at Rs 2.19 lakh/MW/month. Oriana Power and INOX Renewable Energy each secured 225 MW. According to the tender results, INOX Renewables secured the project at Rs 2.19 lakh/MW/month, while Oriana Power won the bid at Rs 2.19 lakh/MW/month.
