ACME Solar Holdings Ltd has fully commissioned its 300 megawatt (MW) Sikar Solar project in the Indian state of Rajasthan, the company said on Tuesday, after bringing the final 60 MW online.

The project, spread over around 1,300 acres in Bikaner—an area with some of the highest solar irradiation levels in India—is expected to generate approximately 780 million units of electricity annually. It is connected to the Bikaner II substation at 220 kilovolts (kV).

The project was awarded under the Solar Energy Corporation of India’s (SECI) ISTS XVIII scheme at a tariff of ₹3.05 per unit, which has been approved by the Central Electricity Regulatory Commission (CERC). A power purchase agreement (PPA) is expected to be signed shortly.

With the commissioning, ACME Solar’s total operational capacity has increased to 2,890 MW.

Separately, the company has commissioned its first wind power project, a 50 MW facility at Shapar in Gujarat, after completing the final 3.3 MW turbine. The project, located in a high wind zone, has a 25-year PPA with Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam Ltd (GUVNL), and was executed by ACME’s in-house engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) team.

ACME Solar, an integrated renewable energy firm, has a portfolio of 6,970 MW across solar, wind, firm and dispatchable renewable energy (FDRE), and hybrid assets. Of this, 4,080 MW is under various stages of development.
