Joshi congratulated Team Senvion and said, ‘’The 4.2MW turbine is a testimony to the success of Make in India initiative under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership and will contribute to the country’s 500 GW ambitions. This is a significant milestone because around 80% to 85% of the equipment and components being used in this prototype is being sourced locally. The turbine is a symbol of India’s focus on Atmanirbharta in renewable energy, driving clean energy and self-reliance - engineered, manufactured, and perfected in India. This launch by Senvion aligns perfectly with the national mission of Atmanirbhar Bharat and Green Growth.’’

“This is a proud milestone for our team,” said Amit Kansal, CEO & MD, Senvion India. “We promised a modern, modular, deeply localised platform that helps IPPs capture more energy at a lower lifecycle cost, and we’re delivering. The 4.2M160 is operational, generating, and ready to scale with our suppliers and partners.”
