Pahal Solar Expands Module Capacity To 3 GW After ALMM, BIS Approvals

Pahal Solar said it has expanded its solar module manufacturing capacity to 3 gigawatts across two facilities, after receiving approval under India’s Approved List of Models and Manufacturers (ALMM) and certification under BIS 2023 standards.

The company said the expanded capacity was included in the ALMM list dated Feb. 7, 2026 (R-72015008), allowing it to supply modules for government-backed and large-scale solar projects in India.

Presence In Multiple Segments

The move positions the manufacturer to serve utility-scale, commercial and public-sector demand, including programmes such as the PM Surya Ghar Yojana.

“The expansion to 3 GW, along with ALMM approval and BIS 2023 certification, reflects our focus on quality, scale and self-reliance,” Chairman and Managing Director Paresh Shingala said in a statement.

Pahal Solar said the additional capacity would support production of high-efficiency modules using advanced manufacturing and quality-control processes, as India seeks to expand domestic solar manufacturing and strengthen energy security.

The company added that the expanded facilities will strengthen its ability to meet rising domestic demand for ALMM-compliant modules, particularly as rooftop and distributed solar installations accelerate under government-backed schemes. It said the milestone would help improve supply reliability and reduce dependence on imported equipment.
