Pace Digitek Arm Wins ₹199.42 Cr BESS Deal from L&T for Bihar Genco Project

Bengaluru-based Pace Digitek’s material subsidiary, Lineage Power Private Limited, has received an order worth ₹1,994.20 million (Rs. 199.42 crore) (including taxes) from Larsen & Toubro to construct and supply Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS). In a regulatory filing, the company explained that the latest order includes the supply of LiFePO₄ liquid-cooled BESS integrated containers for the Bihar State Power Generation Company Limited, Kajra.

Upon receiving manufacturing clearance, the project is expected to be delivered by L&T by December 2025, and complete delivery is expected before March 2026.

L&T & Pace Digitek Previous Project in Bihar

Larsen & Toubro's (L&T) renewables unit has earlier won a contract to develop a grid-connected solar-plus-storage project in Bihar. The project includes a 116 MWac solar photovoltaic (PV) plant integrated with a 241 MWh battery energy storage system (BESS) in Kajra, Lakhisarai district.

The project included the deployment of a 4-hour BESS alongside intermittent solar generation will enable energy time-shifting, allowing surplus clean energy to be stored and dispatched during peak demand periods.

Additionally, Pace Digitek, in a separate order, has also bagged a 600 MW/1,200 MWh Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) worth ₹1,159.31 crore (including GST) order from the Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI). Under the erstwhile order, Pace Digitek secured an order to supply BESS DC Blocks equipped with HVAC and fire protection systems, Power Conversion Systems (PCS), Battery Management Systems (BMS), and Energy Management Systems (EMS).
