Onix Renewable Tops PM-KUSUM-C Project Commissioning In Gujarat Photograph: (Onix Renewable)
Onix Renewable Ltd has emerged as the leading developer under the PM-KUSUM Component-C scheme in Gujarat, after commissioning the highest number of solar projects under the programme, the company said today.
The recognition was announced at the Vibrant Gujarat 2026 summit, where Onix Renewable also signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Gujarat government to explore investments across green fuels, decentralised solar power and electricity distribution infrastructure in the state.
The MoU was signed by Divyesh Savaliya, Chairman and Managing Director of Onix Renewable, in the presence of Gujarat’s Energy and Petrochemicals Minister Rushikesh Patel at the event held in Rajkot. Investments Under Comp-C
Onix Renewable has proposed investments in PM-KUSUM Component-C solar projects across multiple locations in Gujarat, involving capital expenditure of Rs 121 crore and Rs 280 crore, with execution scheduled to begin in 2026. These projects are expected to create around 680 direct and indirect employment opportunities.
Under the MoU, the company has also proposed setting up agreen ammonia production facility at Fulzar in Rajkot district with a planned investment of Rs 10,000 crore. The project is expected to generate around 1,500 jobs, with commercial operations targeted to begin in 2028, according to the company.
Other Power Projects
In addition, the company plans to undertake underground power cable infrastructure projects with an estimated investment ofRs 75 crore,aimed at improving distribution network reliability and safety. These projects are also expected to commence in 2026 and generate about200 jobs.
India has been expanding decentralised solar generation under the PM-KUSUM scheme to improve rural power supply and reduce transmission losses as it scales up renewable capacity.
