NTPC REL Issues EPC Tender With Land Package for 300 MW Solar Project
NTPC Renewable Energy Limited (NTPC REL), the green energy arm of NTPC, has invited bids for the development of a 300 MW ISTS-connected ground-mounted solar project near NTPC’s Anta facility in Rajasthan. The tender, which includes a land package, is open for submissions until August 30, 2025.
Under the scope of work, the selected developer will be responsible for identifying and acquiring encumbrance-free land, executing EPC activities, and undertaking commissioning, operation, and maintenance (O&M) of the project for a period of three years post commissioning.
Scope of Work
The scope also covers the power evacuation system up to the NTPC Anta 220 kV substation. This includes setting up a terminal bay, extending the 220 kV bus, and erecting a new 220 kV bay at the Anta switchyard. The developer will also be required to lay a dedicated transmission line, including right of way (ROW) clearances, from the solar plant to the NTPC Anta substation.
In addition, the tender mandates the installation of an evacuation system, 220 kV switchyard, and telemetry facilities up to the ISTS pooling substation through NTPC Anta. Compliance requirements include CCTV surveillance, reactive power compensation, and harmonics control, in line with technical standards.
The project forms part of NTPC REL’s growing solar pipeline in Rajasthan, with Anta emerging as a major hub after the commissioning of the utility’s 90 MW solar PV project in 2024 and the planned 133 MW park currently in the permitting stage.
