The National Thermal Power Corporation (NTPC) today issued a tender, seeking bids for the supply of 1200 MW of solar power for the Khadva Solar Project in Kutch in Gujarat. 

The tender said, “Project has the DC Capacity (MWDC) – 1515 MWp (378.75 MWp * 4 Blocks). It contains Bi-facial module with minimum Wattage of 540 Wp.”

It also said, “NTPC Renewable Energy Limited (NTPC REL) invited online bids from eligible bidders on Two Stage (i.e., Stage-I: Techno-Commercial Bid and Stage-II: Price Bid) basis for Supply of Solar PV Modules for 1200 MW Khavda Solar Project (North Block).”

As per the criterion set for the bidder, “It should have, supplied Solar Photo Voltaic (SPV) Modules or Solar Photo Voltaic (SPV) cells of cumulative capacity of 40 MWp or above. Out of which at least one such supply order should be 10 MWp or above capacity, prior to the date of Techno-commercial Bid opening.”

As per the NTPC mandate, the document read, “The Bidder should be Group company or Holding Company or Subsidiary company of a firm meeting the requirements of Clause 1.1 above. In such a case, Bidder shall furnish a letter of Undertaking jointly executed by the firm qualified as per clause 1.1 the Bidder along with its Techno-commercial Bid for complete performance of the contract jointly and severally as per format enclosed in the bidding document, failing which the Bidder’s Techno commercial bid shall be liable to be rejected.”

The tender stated, “NTPC REL intends to finance the subject package through Own Resources/borrowings. The cost of the bidding document is INR 22,500/ USD 500.”

The tender said, “The scope of work under the subject package inter alia includes Manufacturing, Supply, Packing and Forwarding, Transportation of Open Category Crystalline Solar PV Modules as per wattage and dimensions mentioned in detailed technical specifications.”

The period of downloading of bidding documents is from 19.01.2024 to 09.02.2024. The Pre-Bid Conference and last date for receipt of queries from prospective bidders is 12.02.2024. The Last date and time for receipt of Stage-I Bids is 05.03.2024.

The date and time for opening of Stage-I bids is 05.03.2024 at 15:30 HRS (IST). Details regarding the invitation for submission of Stage-II bids will be notified later.
