IRPL is a joint venture between Ayana Renewable Power Pvt Ltd, a wholly owned subsidiary of ONGC NTPC Green Energy Pvt Ltd. NTPC said its power generation rose by 3.88 percent in the financial year 2024-25, reaching 438.6 billion units (BU), compared with 422.2 BU in the previous fiscal year. During the year, the NTPC Group added 3,972 MW in new capacity, bringing its total installed capacity to approximately 80 GW by the end of FY25. The company said 32 GW of additional capacity — including 15 GW from renewable sources — is under construction, reaffirming its target of reaching 60 GW of renewable energy capacity by 2032. Previous commissions Earlier this year, NTPC commissioned the 245 MW Nokh Solar Project in Rajasthan. With this, NTPC’s installed and commercial capacity reached 59,413 MW (standalone) and 77,806.50 MW (group basis), the company said.
