Ningbo Deye Inverters, a global energy solutions company, has claimed that its shipments in India have surpassed 5 GW. The company said this milestone was achieved due to a rise in demand for string and hybrid inverters in the country, driven by the ongoing boom in solar projects.
Speaking to Saur Energy, Bharat Singh TN, Director–Sales and Marketing (India & North Africa), said the company has seen increased adoption of several of its products in India. “With time, we have evolved in terms of our supplies for the Indian solar market and the wide range of our product portfolio. Our cumulative shipments of inverters in India have now surpassed 5 GW,” he said.
Latest BESS Solutions For C&I
The energy solutions company, at the recently held Renewable Energy India (REI) Expo in Greater Noida, unveiled its new range of Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) for the Indian market. “We have launched our latest BESS solutions featuring a 125 kW PCS system paired with a 215 kWh battery. The system can be expanded up to 2.51 MWh to promote solar adoption, making power usage more stable for consumers, giving them more savings options, and encouraging the shift toward clean energy,” he said.
Hybrid Inverter Market
Singh added that after the launch of the PM Surya Ghar scheme, the company’s hybrid inverters have received a major boost. He said Deye holds around 80% market share in India’s hybrid inverter segment, considering the OEM services it provides to several Indian manufacturers. Deye currently offers hybrid inverters up to 80 kW, among the most powerful in India, and now plans to launch 125 kW hybrid inverters for the Indian market next year. Singh said that demand for hybrid inverters in India has increased significantly.
He also said that Deye offers both microinverters and hybrid microinverters for the Indian market. The company has already sold around 50,000 microinverters in India. However, Singh noted that adoption of hybrid microinverters had been relatively lower earlier but has now gained momentum, particularly in low-grid areas of the country. He added that the global brand has increased its inverter production from 1 lakh units per month to 2 lakh units per month to meet rising demand.
