NHPC Issues Tenders For 2 MW Rooftop Solar Projects

The last date of bid submissions for all four tenders is March 19, 2019 (online) and March 22, 2019 (offline).

NHPC Rooftop Solar Projects

The National Hydroelectric Power Corporation (NHPC) has issued multiple (4) tenders for setting up 2,089.64 kW of rooftop and small solar power projects at various stations of NHPC. With just a 5 year requirement for O&M (operations and maintenance), it does appear to be one method adopted to keep bid prices low. 

The projects will be developed at NHPC stations in Uttarakhand, Jammu & Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, and Assam. The last date of bid submissions for all four tenders is March 19, 2019 (online) and March 22, 2019 (offline) and the pre-bid meetings have been scheduled for February 20, 2019.

The bid opening for the projects will be held on successive days from March 25 to March 28, 2019. (J&K, HP, UK, and Assam). The Tendered Capacity and the Earnest Money Deposits (EMD) for the four tenders is as follows,

Jammu & Kashmir – 635 kW, Rs 6.79 lakh

Himachal Pradesh – 1082.16 kW, Rs 11.5 lakh

Uttarakhand – 212.48 kW, Rs 2.3 lakh

Assam – 160 kW, Rs 1.7 lakh

The brief scope of work for the successful bidders will include the successful installation of the rooftop and small solar power projects at the projects sites with the comprehensive operation and maintenance of the same for a period of 5 years from the date of commissioning.

Solar power plants of a total capacity of 635 kW in Jammu & Kashmir will be developed at the following sites, the Uri-I (50 kW), Sewa-II (85 kW) & Dulhasti (500 kW).

Solar power plants of a total capacity of 1082.16 kW in Himachal Pradesh will be developed at the following sites, the Chamera-I (155 kW), Chamera-II (230 kW), Parbati-II (125 kWp), Parbati-III (500 kWp & 72.16 kWp).

Solar power plants of a total capacity of 212.48 kWp in Uttarakhand will be developed at the following sites, Dhauliganga Power station (139.52 kW & 72.96 kW).

Solar power plant of a total capacity of 160 kWp in Assam will be developed at the following sites, Lower Subansiri Hydro Electric Project.
