The company will retain its Nasdaq ticker symbol, NXT, and continue operating under the same executive leadership team. Its complete product portfolio—including trackers, foundations, eBOS, advanced module frames, robotics, software, yield management and control systems, and related services—will now operate under the Nextpower brand architecture. The firm has opted for a mix of organic and inorganic growth to expand its portfolio. The move by NextPower reflects a broader global move among many majors in the solar business who see the ascent of solar as the lowest cost electricity option as a generational opportunity to benefit from its growth. In India as well as have seen the lines between manufacturers, developers and EPC frms blurring as more and more firms expand into adjacent areas.

The new identity reflects the company’s evolution from being a global leader in solar tracking to becoming a full-platform provider, offering an integrated portfolio of advanced technologies and services for utility-scale solar power plants. The firm has a strong presence in the Indian market as well, having crossed the 10 GW mark for tracker installations earlier this year.

In conjunction with its Capital Markets Day, Nextpower reaffirmed its FY26 outlook and announced its FY27 guidance and long-term financial targets. These include projected revenue of $4.8 billion to $5.6 billion by FY30, with approximately one-third of that expected to come from non-tracker products and services.

Expanding Global Presence

With over 150 GW of Nextpower systems shipped worldwide, revenue grew from $1.9 billion in FY23 to $3.4 billion (TTM through September 2025), reflecting sustained global demand for its technology.

Nextpower’s rebranding comes at a pivotal time as global electricity demand accelerates, driven by the rapid growth of AI and data centers, electric mobility, and building electrification in its home market and elsewhere.

The company continues to expand its international footprint. In collaboration with Abunayyan Holding, it formed Nextracker Arabia to accelerate solar adoption across the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region.

Similarly, Nextpower has earlier launched its NX Earth Truss® foundation solution in Australia, supported by a grant from the Australian Renewable Energy Agency (ARENA) to promote large-scale solar deployment in the country.

Leadership View

On the latest announcement, Dan Shugar, founder and CEO of Nextpower said, “Over the past several years, we have been systematically executing a strategy to expand our portfolio and create a comprehensive technology platform that delivers significant benefits across the solar value chain.”

“Our new name reflects this transformation,” Shugar continued. "Nextpower is building on decades of leadership in solar tracking, creating a leading integrated technology platform to support the world’s most advanced clean energy systems. The world is in an electricity super-cycle, and solar is the primary driver, adding more capacity than any other source, at lower cost. As we expand into power conversion systems (PCS), robotics, and AI, we’re enabling customer solutions engineered for the scale, reliability, and complexity of today’s solar power plants.”
