MSEDCL Releases Tender For 1000 MW Solar Power Project

Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (MSEDCL) released a tender inviting long-term bids for procurement from 1000 MW inter/intra-state grid-connected solar power projects through a tariff-based bidding process.

MSEDCL document mentioned, "This tender is for purchase of power on a long-term basis through a competitive bidding process. This is to be followed by a reverse e-auction from 1000 MW grid-connected solar photovoltaic power projects. The last date and time for online submission to be 3rd April. All documents are to be submitted physically at the MSEDCL office, in Mumbai on 03rd April. The technical bid will open on 3rd April 2024.”

It further mentioned, "The cost of the document (non-refundable) is 25,000 Rs (Plus applicable GST) (to be paid through online payment. The processing fee (non-refundable) is Rs. 15 Lakhs (plus applicable GST) (to be paid through online payment.

The EMD - Earnest Money @ INR 8 Lakhs/MW (plus applicable GST) is to be submitted in the form of a Bank Guarantee along with a response to RfS."

It added, "The bidders selected by MSEDCL, based on this RfS have to submit the performance bank guarantee (PBG) of INR 20 Lakh/MW (plus applicable GST). It has to be submitted seven days before the signing of the power purchase agreement (PPA), issued in favor of MSEDCL."

The tender mentioned, " It has a validity of up to seven months from scheduled commencement of-supply date with a claim period of one year from the validity expiry date. The Bidder is expected to furnish the Performance Bank Guarantees (PBGs) from any of the Banks listed in the document to MSEDCL. The processing fee (non-refundable) is 15 Lakhs (plus applicable GST)"
