MP: Shakti Pumps Invests Rs. 3 Cr In Arm For 2.20 GW Solar DCR Cell & Module Manufacturing Plant

Shakti Pumps has recently invested Rs. 3 crore in its subsidiary, Shakti Energy Solutions Limited, to establish a greenfield high-efficiency solar DCR cell and solar PV module manufacturing plant in Pithampur, Madhya Pradesh. Shakti Pumps said in a regulatory filing that it made a recent round of investment in its subsidiary to establish a 2.20 GW production capacity. The investment will cover preliminary expenses related to the plant probably, with the heavy lifting in terms of payments for plant and machinery and others to follow yet.  

The latest investment further expands Shakti Pumps’ investments from solar structures and solar rooftop manufacturing into solar DCR cell and solar module manufacturing. Shakti Pumps also shared details of its subsidiary, Shakti Energy Solutions Limited, which was incorporated on September 6, 2010, and reported a turnover of Rs. 216.53 crore in the financial year (FY) 2025, Rs. 139.59 crore in FY 2024, and Rs. 99.15 crore in FY 2023.

Shakti Pumps Infuses ₹12 Cr Into Solar Manufacturing Arm

In 2025, Madhya Pradesh-based solar pump manufacturer Shakti Pumps invested ₹12 crore in its subsidiary, Shakti Energy Solutions Limited, to set up a greenfield solar DCR cell and PV module manufacturing facility with a 2.20 GW capacity in Pithampur, the company said in a regulatory filing.

The investment marks the start of plans announced earlier by the parent firm to diversify into solar cell and module manufacturing. The subsidiary will oversee the project, which aims to strengthen Shakti Pumps’ backward integration and improve control over its value chain.

Shakti Pumps Previous Projects

Earlier this year, in 2026, Shakti Pumps secured a Work Order (WO) from the Haryana Renewable Energy Department (HAREDA) for 792 Solar Water Pumping Systems (SWPS) for the entire state of Haryana.

The company secured the order under Component-B of the PM-KUSUM scheme, with a total value of around Rs. 23.54 crore (inclusive of GST), to be executed within 90 days. The total amount of the work order is Rs. 21.62 crore, and with GST, the amount is Rs. 23.54 crore.
