Mindra Starts Gigafactory In Gujarat For PV Inverters, EV Chargers

Mindra Group, a firm specialising in the manufacturing of solar inverters and Electric Vehicle (EV) chargers, has started production from its new Gigafactory in Ahmedabad, Gujarat.

The firm has now shifted all its manufacturing processes to the new production house in Gujarat.

“On April 30, 2025, Mindra Group took a monumental step towards India’s electric future with the inauguration of its Gigafactory 2.0 in Ahmedabad, Gujarat. This facility marks a significant milestone in the company’s commitment to revolutionizing the future,” the firm said in a media statement.

Expanded Capacity of Mindra Group

It said that the firm, which started with a modest production unit of 200 sq-ft has moved to a 70,000 sq-ft of production center to bolster its production capacity.

“The new production unit will manufacture new generation EV chargers, grid-tied Solar Inverters, and Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), Mindra has always aimed at empowering the green revolution,” it said.

“This Gigafactory is more than infrastructure – it’s where sustainability meets scale. And for the team at Mindra, this is only the beginning,” the firm added.

Mindra Group offers solar inverters in the range of 1 kW- 10 kW for residential solar consumers. On the Commercial side, it offers solar inverters upto 100 Kw with an advanced Maximum Power Point Tracking (MPPT) algorithm. On the other hand, its highest capacities go upto 250 kW.
