Military Engineer Services Tenders for 1 MW Solar Plant in Alwar

The Military Engineer Services has issued a tender for setting up of 1 MW solar power plant at Itarana in Alwar, Rajasthan.

The Military Engineer Services (MES) has issued a tender, inviting bids from eligible bidders, for setting up of 1 MW solar power plant at Itarana in Alwar, Rajasthan.

The scope of work for the selected bidders will include the survey, design, fabrication, supply, installation, testing and commissioning of the ground-mounted solar power plant. On successful commissioning of the plant, the developers will be required to provide comprehensive operation and maintenance services for the plant for a period of 5 years. The entire work under this contract shall be completed in 2191 days.

The estimated cost of the project is Rs 6.8 crore according to MES. And all bidders are required to submit an Earnest Money Deposit of Rs 6.8 lakh along with their bids. Recently, we reported that ITI Limited has issued a tender for a 1.5 MW grid-connected solar power plant (rooftop/ground-mounted) with net-metering at its facility in Raebareli. The estimated cost of the project in that tender is Rs 2.55 crore.

An amount equivalent to 5 percent of the contract sum shall be deposited by the contractor (either enlisted or unenlisted) within 28 days of receipt of the letter of acceptance, on receipt of performance security, thereafter work order will be placed, failing which, the contract shall be cancelled and EMD submitted by unenlisted contractor shall be forfeited.

To be eligible for participating in the bidding process, the bidders must have experience of successfully completing work on solar power plants in government department/ PSU during the last seven years as per the following:

One work of capacity > 80 percent of capacity of plant specified in NIT i.e 0.80 MW

Or
Two works of capacity > 50 percent of capacity of plant specified in NIT i.e 0.50 MW

Or

Three works of capacity > 40 percent of capacity of plant specified in NIT i.e 0.40 MW.
