The newly commissioned capacity comprises two solar projects of 280 MWp each in Gujarat and Rajasthan. Power from the projects will be supplied under 25-year power purchase agreements to Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam Ltd and Rajasthan Urja Vikas Nigam Ltd, respectively, the company said.

First Assets

The projects are the first assets developed and commissioned by Mahindra Susten following the sale of 1.54 gigawatt-peak of solar assets in 2024 to Sustainable Energy Infra Trust, an infrastructure investment trust sponsored by the company as part of its capital-light strategy.

Spread across nearly 2,000 acres, the Gujarat and Rajasthan projects use N-type TOPCon bifacial solar modules, high-efficiency inverters and dry-cleaning systems to maximise energy output. Electricity is evacuated through 220-kilovolt substations to the state grids.

Mahindra Susten said the 560 MWp portfolio is expected to generate nearly 1 billion units of electricity annually. Project execution involved a peak workforce of about 1,000 people and 2.9 million safe man-hours, the company added.

Gujarat & Rajasthan

“Commissioning 560 MWp across Gujarat and Rajasthan in 2025 marks another major milestone for Mahindra Susten and reflects our strong execution capabilities in delivering large-scale renewable assets,” said Avinash Rao, managing director and chief executive officer of Mahindra Susten.

The company said it continues to expand its renewable energy pipeline, with projects under development in Maharashtra, Punjab, Rajasthan and Karnataka. Its portfolio spans utility-scale projects, hybrid wind-solar solutions and group-captive open-access projects.

Mahindra Susten currently has 2.1 GWp of executed IPP capacity and a development pipeline of about 3 GWp, it said.
