Maharashtra Partners With UK To Build Its First 1.2 GW Solar Park

The Mumbai-based Hazoor Multi Projects Ltd. (HMPL) has forayed into green energy with the development of the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Saur Urja Park (CSMSUP). This is one of the first solar parks in Maharashtra. Hazoor Multi Projects will develop this project in collaboration with a multinational company from the United Kingdom. This 1.2 GW capacity solar park will be located across 4,200 acres in Solapur district.

About The Project

The company said in a regulatory filing, "The project is Equipped with new technology, each solar panel at the park will feature a 750-watt capacity, ensuring exceptional efficiency. The park will incorporate both fixed and tracking solar panels, with the tracking systems designed to follow the sun’s movement throughout the day to maximize energy generation."
