Rooftop Solar
Mahatma Phule Renewable Energy & Infrastructure Technology Limited (MAHAPREIT) has issued a tender for a 500 MW on-grid rooftop solar project, with a 20-year operation and maintenance (O&M). Bids are open until July 15, 2025.
The project is aimed at micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) across Maharashtra, Goa, Gujarat, Uttar Pradesh, and Andhra Pradesh. The project will be implemented under the Renewable Energy Service Company (RESCO) model and includes a 50% greenshoe option for the sale of solar power to MSME units.
To qualify, bidders must demonstrate either a net worth of ₹25 lakh/MW or a turnover of ₹1 crore per MW of the proposed rooftop solar project. For those bidding under multiple project categories, the financial criteria must be met on a cumulative basis. In the case of a consortium, the net worth or turnover can be fulfilled jointly by its members.
Interested bidders must also furnish a bid security of ₹2.25 lakh per MW for each project category they are applying for. The bid will remain valid for six months from the date of opening of the financial bid. If the selected bidder revokes the offer, alters any terms and conditions, or fails to accept the Letter of Award (LoA) within 15 days of issuance, MAHAPREIT reserves the right to take action against the bidder.
Additionally, the bidders are required to submit a bid for a minimum capacity of 25 MW in each category. Whereas, bids quoting less than 25 MW in any category shall be deemed non-responsive and shall not be considered for evaluation.
