MAHAPREIT Invites Bids To Set Up 350 EV Charging Stations

Maharashtra’s Public Sector Undertaking (PSU) Mahatma Phule Renewable Energy and Infrastructure Technology Ltd (MAHAPREIT) and a subsidiary of MPBCDC invited e-Tender to set up EV Charging stations. The tender invited an open e-tender through an online submission under Part I (Technical Bid) on behalf of MAHAPREIT, Mumbai for the empanelment of agencies to set up Electric Vehicles Charging Stations in Maharashtra.

The document mentioned the company intends to set up EV Charging Stations in the Municipal corporation areas like Thane, Mira - Bhayander, Chandrapur, and Railway stations under the control of Konkan Railways & National Highways Authority of India (NHAI). The Maharashtra & Goa Energy Development Agency (GEDA) through this project aims to provide public EV charging facilities for Electric two, three, and four-wheelers.

MAHAPREIT intends to invite Request for Qualifications (RFQ) from technically and financially qualified bidders for the empanelment of agencies to set up EV Charging Stations in Maharashtra on a revenue-sharing basis.

The MAHAPREIT mentioned the date and time of the online/offline pre-bid meeting on 26/03/2024 at 15.00 Hours.

The last date of sale of the document is 11 April 2024 and the date and time of submission of the offer is on 12 April 2024 at 15.00 Hrs.

Part I of the technical bid opens on 12th April 2024 at 16.00 Hours.

The document cost (Non-refundable) is Rs. 5000/- plus 18% GST and the registration charges (Non-refundable) are Rs 50,000/- plus 18%GST. The mode of payment for the (EMD) is through the E-payment gateway.

The bid acceptance period is the bid for the work shall remain open for acceptance for 120 days from the date of opening of technical bids. If any Bidder withdraws his bid/ offer before the mentioned period or makes any modification in the terms and conditions of the bid, the EMD at the time of submission of the tender shall stand forfeited.

The document stated, "The above list is indicative based on the agreements with above government organizations. The quantity of EV Charging Stations may increase or decrease. MAHAPREIT reserves the right to allot the EV Charging stations to the successful bidder based on the actual land availability."

The document added, that for the setting up of EV charging stations, the company plans to obtain the land locations from the government organizations for 10 years. The rights may be further extended for 5 years. The above list is indicative based on the agreements with the above government organizations. The quantity of EV Charging Stations may increase or decrease. MAHAPREIT reserves the right to allot the EV Charging stations to the successful bidder based on the actual land availability.

Further, MAHAPREIT reserves the right to allot the EV Stations to more than one agency. In this regard, the qualified agencies have to match the highest revenue-sharing rate of the bidder.
