MAHAPREIT and Hero Future Energies Collaborate To Develop RE Project

Hero Future Energies a two-wheeler manufacturing company and Maharashtra Public Sector Undertaking (PSU) MAHAPREIT have announced their collaboration for development of a renewable energy project on social media platform X.

The company said, “We are excited to share that Hero Future Energies has signed a MoU with Mahatma Phule Renewable Energy and Infrastructure Technology Ltd (MAHAPREIT)”.

MAHAPREIT – Mahatma Phule Renewable Energy and Infrastructure Technology Limited is a subsidiary company of Mahatma Phule Backward Class Development Corporation (MPBCDC). It’s a government Public Sector Undertaking (PSU) under Maharashtra. It announced its collaboration with Hero Future Energies which is part of the two-wheeler manufacturer Hero Group. 

Hero Future Energies elaborated, “Under which we will invest a sum of USD 1 Billion for development of renewable energy projects and new age clean technologies in the state of Maharashtra.”

He also said, “The sum of USD 1 Billion will be used to develop multiple green energy projects (solar, wind, hybrids), rooftop solar units, microgrids as well as emerging technologies like Green Hydrogen and its derivatives, Energy Storage etc. We are thrilled to partner with the Maharashtra Government in its pursuit of sustainable economic growth and together usher in a greener future for the state.”

The MoU was signed by Amol Shinde, Managing Director (MD), MAHAPREIT and @rahulmunjal14, Chief Managing Director (CMD), Hero Future Energies in the presence of @mieknathshinde Chief Minister of Maharashtra, Eknath @CMOMaharashtra at the annual Meeting of the World Economic Forum @wef held at Davos.
