Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav secured investment commitments during a three-day visit to the United Arab Emirates, which is part of a broader tour that includes Dubai and Spain from July 13 to 19.
Yadav met with senior officials and global investors, including Vinay Thadani, CEO and Director of Grew Energy, to discuss a proposed 3 GW solar cell manufacturing project in Narmadapuram district. The company said the project is expected to generate jobs for over 700 people and boost the state’s renewable energy sector.
The chief minister reiterated his government's support for clean energy and highlighted Madhya Pradesh’s efforts to become a green energy hub. “This project will not only aid our environmental objectives but also promote local economic development,” Yadav stated.
He also held discussions with the UAE Minister of State for Foreign Trade, Thani Bin Ahmed Al Zeyoudi, focusing on investment under the India-UAE Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA) and the I2U2 framework. Yadav emphasized Madhya Pradesh’s strengths in sectors such as electric vehicles, smart manufacturing, pharmaceuticals, textiles, renewable energy, and food processing.
Wider Investment Push
Yadav stated that his team has engaged with embassy officials and business leaders across various sectors to simplify the procedures for foreign investment and highlight opportunities in food parks, mining, and industrial development.
The Dubai leg of the tour has generated significant investor interest in energy, healthcare, wellness, and mineral resources, especially gold, diamonds, and cement. The state also highlighted its efficient industrial parks, air cargo infrastructure, and tourism attractions.
The visit is aimed at deepening India-UAE economic ties while positioning Madhya Pradesh as a key investment destination under the ‘Developed Madhya Pradesh’ vision.
