Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav can be happy with his work at the the Mohasa-Babai region in Narmadapuram district. The district is emerging as an industrial hub, where the manufacturing of power and renewable energy equipment is set to play a pivotal role in shaping India’s green industrial transition in the years ahead.
The state government has developed the Mohasa-Babai Industrial Area as a Greenfield Manufacturing Zone for power and renewable energy equipment. The Chief Minister, along with the Department of Industrial Policy and Investment Promotion, has introduced investor-friendly policies to attract projects and facilitate industrial units with incentives, creating a more conducive environment for investment. The proposed investments total ₹17,750 crore and are expected to generate employment for 21,777 people. Prominent companies such as U Energy, Lendsmill Green Energy, and Raise Green Energy Manufacturing have already begun construction on their plots. The success of Phase 1 has laid a strong foundation for expansion, paving the way for the commencement of Phase 2.
Phase 2: 9 Units on 551 Acres of Allotted Land
Under Phase 2, 551 acres of land have been allotted to nine units. Seven of these belong to the power and renewable energy equipment manufacturing sector, while two are part of the broader Mohasa-Babai industrial ecosystem. The total proposed investment for these units amounts to ₹39,210.55 crore, which is expected to generate employment for 14,777 people.
