In a press release, the company explained that the project involves constructing a 42-kilometer transmission line in the Ananthapuram district of Andhra Pradesh. The line is designed to carry electricity from a 1 GW wind farm. Additionally, Kshema Power said it will install a single-circuit line on double-circuit towers to enable efficient and reliable power transfer.

Other companies eyeing wind farm expansion include Tata Power, which signed a deal with Suzlon Energy to develop and supply 700 MW of wind turbines in Andhra Pradesh. The company plans to undertake a ₹6,000 crore project as part of a memorandum of understanding (MoU) signed in March 2025 between Tata Power and the Andhra Pradesh government to develop up to 7,000 MW of renewable energy capacity in the state.

This latest project also aligns with Andhra Pradesh’s policy target to expand wind power capacity in line with the Central Government’s goal of achieving 140 GW of wind energy by 2030. The policy also aims to promote new wind power projects and the repowering of existing ones.

About the Project

Kshema has prior experience executing over 4.5 GW of wind energy projects and installing 1,600 km of transmission lines across various Indian states. The company’s services cover wind and solar park development, utility-scale and rooftop solar installations, as well as transmission and distribution projects.

For its latest project, Kshema Power said it would manage the entire project lifecycle, from design approval and material procurement to civil construction, tower erection, regulatory clearance management, testing, and final commissioning. The company added that it will deploy expert teams to ensure smooth execution while maintaining the highest levels of safety and quality.
