Khavda: Zetwerk Gets 1515 MW Module Contract From NTPC To Supply PV Modules

Bengaluru based Contract manufacturing marketplace Zetwerk has received a second, major contract from NTPC Renewables to supply 1515 MWp of ALMM-compliant solar PV modules for the 1200 MW Khavda Solar project in Gujarat.

Zetwerk has bagged this order which includes mandatory spares, for the 1200 MW Khavda Solar project in Gujarat. The company said it would be servicing the order in 210 days. This significant order, four times larger than their previous one for 375 MW in 2023, is a solid vindication of the quality and deliveries Zetwerk has been able to achieve. The order win comes despite stiff competition in the domestic market where module capacities have risen to over 60 GW in the past 12 months. The order value is estimated at Rs 2500 crores.

Zetwerk's previous deal with National Thermal Power Corporation (NTPC) for supplying 375 MWp of solar PV modules was also for projects at Khavda. Both the projects are led by NTPC – Renewable Energy Limited (REL). Zetwerk will source the modules from its manufacturing partners already enlisted in the ALMM list.

Zetwerk claims to be one of the largest suppliers for energy projects in segments such as solar, wind, and oil and gas. Under the agreement, it would provide 375 MWp solar modules to Bhuj solar project.

Starting off as a contract sourcing and manufacturing firm, Zetwerk has narrowed down in the renewable energy space as a large opportunity, with the segment providing an increasingly larger share of revenues for the firm. Beyond India, it is also a key supplier to Nextracker, the global tracker leader in the US as well as India. The firm manufactures primarily in India, the US and Mexico, as of now.
